The Bergen County Zoological Park is located at Van Saun Park in Paramus, New Jersey.  It was the first zoo in New Jersey to be accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

The Bergen County Zoo is a "New World" zoo, exhibiting wildlife from North and South America.  Exhibits include rare and unusual species including Baird's Tapirs, Andean Condors, American Alligators, Golden Lion Tamarins and South American Pampas.

The Zoo is open every day of the year weather permitting.

Admission to the Zoo is charged daily from May 1st through October 31st.  The Zoo now accepts credit card payments at the Zoo entrance ticket booth.  Hours of operation are daily from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm.

To receive Bergen County Resident rates, proof of residency is required at the ticket booth.

Pony Rides Located out in the middle of the park, the pony rides are becoming a hit with the children! 

Amphitheater our outdoor  scenic theater with rocks and jungle like vines are a fun learning experience! demonstrations are held daily with times on the bulletin at the front entrance!

Education and Discovery Center Housing our reptiles and classrooms, this building is the go to for zoo camp, birthday parties, and indoor theatre. There is always some activity planned for the kids to learn!
