The Bergen County Zoo is open 364 days a Year!!!
(Closed just Christmas Day)

Due to the climate of the winter months, the Bergen County Zoo is free in the off-season (November 1- April 30) because not all of the animals are out. The are kept on premise but not for public viewing.

Pony Rides Located out in the middle of the park, the pony rides are becoming a hit with the children! 

Amphitheater our outdoor  scenic theater with rocks and jungle like vines are a fun learning experience! demonstrations are held daily with times on the bulletin at the front entrance!

Education and Discovery Center Housing our reptiles and classrooms, this building is the go to for zoo camp, birthday parties, and indoor theatre. There is always some activity planned for the kids to learn!

The Bergen County Zoological Park is located at Van Saun Park in Paramus, New Jersey.  It was the first zoo in New Jersey to be accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

The Bergen County Zoo is a "New World" zoo, exhibiting wildlife from North and South America.  Exhibits include rare and unusual species including Baird's Tapirs, Andean Condors, American Alligators, Golden Lion Tamarins and South American Pampas.
