The train and carousel are OPEN for the season
Thursday - Sunday schedule
10:00am - 4:45pm (WEATHER PERMITTING)
Daily train and carousel tickets can be purchased in person

Face masks are no longer required to enter the zoo.
Indoors, in the bathrooms, gift shop and in other buildings
 you MUST wear a mask to enter.
Hand Sanitizer are stationed throughout the zoo.
Be respectful and keep distance.

The Bergen County Zoo is open 364 days a Year
(Closed just on Christmas Day)

Due to the climate of the winter months, the Bergen County Zoo is free in the off-season (November 1- April 30) because not all of the animals are out. The are kept on premise but not for public viewing.

The Bergen County Zoological Park is located at Van Saun Park in Paramus, New Jersey.  It was the first zoo in New Jersey to be accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

The Bergen County Zoo is a "New World" zoo, exhibiting wildlife from North and South America.  Exhibits include rare and unusual species including Baird's Tapirs, Andean Condors, American Alligators, Golden Lion Tamarins and South American Pampas.
