How do I purchase a membership?

Our memberships are organized using Communitypass.net. If you would like to join the Friends, you will need to create an account on Communitypass. Search for us: "Friends of the Bergen County Zoo, NJ". Then register for an activity: "Membership".

How long does my membership last?

All memberships are designed to last one rolling year.

Is there a limit on how many times I can visit under the membership?

Nope! Come everyday if you'd like to!

How will I prove I'm a member?

When you purchase your membership you will receive membership cards that you must show at the gate to allow free entrance.

When will my cards arrive?

Please allow up to 2 weeks for us to process and mail your membership cards.

​

What if I never receive my cards?

Please allow 2 weeks for us to process your membership. If you do not receive your cards in the mail within 6 weeks of purchase, please let us know.

How soon can I begin my membership?

Instantly! If you purchase your membership on Communitypass you will receive an email receipt that will grant you access into the zoo temporarily under your membership until your cards come.

Is my membership transferable?

No. Memberships are only for the person/family that purchased it.

What if I lose my membership cards? 

We will print you new cards for a $10 fee. Please log onto your Communitypass account and click the orange button, "register for activity". On that list will be "replacement cards". Click that, and we will make you new ones.

What happens when my membership expires?

All memberships last one year. You should receive an email notifying you that it is about to expire. We hope you have enjoyed your time supporting the zoo and choose to renew it!

I have more than 4 children, how can you accommodate my family?

All our memberships are limited to 2 adults and up to 4 children. You may add more children for an additional $25 per child.

What is considered a child?

Anyone under the age of 18 is a child. 18 and older is an adult.

​

Are train and carousel rides included in the membership?

No. Train and Carousel fees are separate and can be bought at the ticket booth on site.

Is parking free for members?

Parking at the Bergen County Zoo in Van Saun Park is always free for everyone!

What else does my membership give me?

Not only does your membership give you unlimited free admission, but also 10% Gift shop purchases (must show card at register) exclusive invitation to Members night, pre-sale and discounted Zoo Boo tickets, discounts to our Light it Glow event, and first knowledge of other events and happenings at the zoo.
